INTRODUCTION
Dr. Marshall's mixed methods research examines primary healthcare from patient, provider, and system perspectives to address the quadruple aim: promoting population health, optimizing costs, better patient experience, equitable access and care, and improving care team wellbeing and work life. Foci include access, continuity, and comprehensiveness to improve equity and optimize outcomes across the life course, involving population data and equity-deserving populations. She leads multiple pan-Canadian studies including the CIHR COVID-19 Rapid Response funded PUPPY-Study. Her research has been supported by more than $42 million in grant funding from tri-council, national, provincial, and university funding agencies ($4.3 million as principal investigator and $38 million as co-investigator). She has published over 45 peer-reviewed articles (24 as first or senior author) and given more than 160 invited and peer-reviewed conference presentations. Dr. Marshall is the 2020 recipient of the NAPCRG Mid-Career Researcher Award.

I love working with watercolour paints and hooking rugs, creating images that evoke ranges of emotion and memories. I draw inspiration from my life experience as a musician and scholar, from the natural world and many travels, and from my mind’s eye. I hope you get as much pleasure from these pieces as I do making them.
